To celebrate the opening of their newly enlarged and renovated building, the Boston Children's Museum asked 18 area artists to each design a vitrine incorporating objects from the Museum's collections. I chose dolls and toys in about 1:12 scale, recreating my childhood belief that dolls came alive when no one was around — to play and generally wreak havoc in their own little world.
